Roger Skinner and the Motivation was originally formed in 1969.
After going solo in 1973, Roger then formed the new Motivation in 1995.
Although they play a wide range of music, Rock N Roll is what they and their audiences enjoy most.

Roger has over 35 years experience as a professional musician, receiving the APRA Silver Scroll Award in 1967 for the top song of the year, and the Scroll of Honour Award for contribution to NZ music in 1995.

Motivation consists of Neil Finlay, guitar, harmonica and vocals; Graham Judd, bass and vocals; Ian Fyfield, drum and vocals; and of course Roger Skinner, guitar and vocals.

Motivation play at RSA's, niteclubs, hotels, weddings, birthdays, coroporate functions and much more.

Highlights this year have been the Whangamata Beach Hop, the Huapai Tavern Speights Southern Man birthday bash and the Helensville Wine Festival.
